|SETTING: a shopping center in East Point, Georgia
SCENE: 30,000 people wanting “applications” for Section 8 housing in this inner-ring Atlanta suburb. People camping out, bumrushing the line, and otherwise stampeding over everyone to be first.
Also noteworthy: many of them had driven in from other states.
One Atlanta reporter described it as …”Looking like Haiti after the earthquake.
Another said, “I didn’t know what country I was in”…and…”That scene definitely qualifies as Third World.”
Sadly, this says everything about the government’s ability to manage anything. Why was there no mail-in or web option? Was this really the best way to hand out “applications”.
And what does it say about the “applicants.”
Were they REALLY all hardscrabble poor, with few other options in life?
Ironically, America’s “disadvantaged” were spotted wearing jewelry and bling, NBA hats and jerseys- yapping on cell phones, carrying designer purses, and arriving in cars. And they all certainly seemed very well fed. Many weighed-in at 300-pounds, or even more.
Many rides sported “rims.” Women with their hair done – wearing fake Gucci. Tattoos and fancy manicures were “de rigueure” from what could be discerned by the TV coverage.
Picture a mob of 30,000 people – clearly who didn’t have to be at work somewhere – lined up for an application to get on a waiting list, expected to have no more than 65 slots over the next 7 years. Sound familiar?
But isn’t this emblematic of how ALL government officials operate – having “no skin in the game?”
Did they even care one iota for the people whom they requested to come to a shopping center, just for paperwork? Undoubtedly, they knew in advance they would have 20 -30 times as many people as they had applications, yet made no provisions for nary a one.
Even worse, does not the fact that 30 THOUSAND showed up portend the most ominous of futures for America? Given the prolific birthrate of minorities, what happens by 2048, when staticians predict whites to be a minority in the total population?
America may be the most technologically advanced nation in the history of the world, but numbers do not lie. We are fast-forwarding into third world chaos, with welfare entitlements now seen as a minority “right.”
Beginning with the suicidal policies of our government from the 1960s, these types of “gimme-gimme” gatherings by minorities (and others) will become ever larger and more common; as the leeches invariably overwhelm those who produce wealth – who become ever more reluctant to surrender it in the form of taxation.
So where does this entitlement mentality END? A minority that continually blames “racist whites” for their “lack of progress” defies the undisputable truth!
Since Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” (war-on-poverty), untold trillions have been spent on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs – all designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.
Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have generously donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for poor people – both black and white.
Yet not once has anyone ever heard a word of thanks!
And who’s fault is it that illegitimacy in minorities has hit 70 percent? Or that the black dropout rate in high schools in many cities has reached 50 percent – because minority students detest anyone “acting white” (studying).
Let’s not mince words:
Even though there are many hard-working, law-abiding minority citizens, this large “underclass” represents a hugely out-of-proportion amount of crime and social unrest. Yet no media outlet will dare to publicly criticize the situation, in fear of being branded as racist.
Thus, hearing little or no condemnation of their attitudes and actions; and hearing nothing but excuses (for them) from liberal whites, who dominate the media, most believe their aberrant behavior is fully justified.
Minority groups continually overburden the entitlement system – using it disproportionately with the excuse that, “we deserve it” because, well, we’re the MINORITY!
Years ago, such an “excuse” may have been historically justified; but now, with the passage of healthcare, the pendulum has swung far too far the other way.
When one looks at the big picture, it’s almost as if the democrats are covertly fomenting a cultural civil war upon this country. The media has long pilloried the producers in our society as the evil ones; and the violent, race-obsessed, excuse-making parasites as “the noble poor.”
Which brings us back to the mob scene at East Point, Georgia.
Kinda shows you what government health care will look like after 2013.
Shades of where Obama wants us all.
